Chris Gabriel graduated with honors from the SMU Dedman School of Law. He was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient and was awarded the prestigious Ben Love Memorial Scholarship, presented by the Insurance Law Section of the Texas Bar Association. During law school, he served clerkships with the Federal Trade Commission, Texas Super Lawyer Georganna Simpson, The Senior Source, and as a researcher for Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen. In addition, he served as a Student Bar Association mentor to first-year law students, and was active with student law school organizations, serving as an officer of the SMU Law Intellectual Property Organization. He is a member of the Insurance Law Section of the Texas Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, and the ABA.
Gabriel has been published in the Texas Bar Association Family Law Section Report and co-wrote a paper presented at the annual University of Texas Insurance Law CLE. He has also served as a Judge for the SMU Law Jackson Walker Moot Court Competition.
Prior to law school, Gabriel spent six years as a managing paralegal at an exclusive West Los Angeles boutique immigration and nationality law firm which represents numerous high-profile clients in the entertainment and corporate sectors. Prior to this, he was the creative director at one of New York City’s top special events firms, and a magazine and advertising writer and editor.
Mr. Gabriel practices primarily in the litigation areas of insurance, contract, and business law.
